I have been interested in road maps since I was five years old! It all started when my family moved from Ann Arbor, MI to the small city of Litchfield, also Michigan. Litchfield is about 150 miles from Ann Arbor, and we must have used road maps a lot! My dad gave me a Hillsdale County map, and it all started from there. I was (and still am) always drawing maps of made-up places. Then, in 2003, I discovered that if you go to a state or province's transportation page, you could problably order a free state map. That's when my road map collection started. I now have nearly 800 maps in my collection, including doubles (which I have plenty of). Now, I have decided to start a website showcasing my favorite road maps, as well as other road-related stuff. I also have some old county Plat Books from Michigan scanned in. Be sure to check the links page for more websites that do a better job than mine!

I also collect typewriters, and I have a website for my collection. You can find Nick Beland's Typewriter pages at http://typewriters.uuuq.com/. My other and final collection is foreign money, mainly coins. I am not into this much any more, but I will still pick up and keep Canadian nickels, or any other neat coins. I don't have a website for this! I also have an interest in Residential Architecture, for which I have created a web page.
